Scoring Rules

• To qualify, you must;
  • Race 40% of the races that are sailed in each half (i.e 16 of 40, 38 of 96, etc)  OR
  • Race in 50% of the days that are sailed  i.e. 3 out of 6, 4 out of 8, etc. AND
  • Race in 50% of the races sailed each race day to have that day count toward qualifying
• 2/3's of the races you sail count for your score  i.e. you get 4 throwouts for every 12 races you sail.
• DNC/RC counts toward your throwouts (listed as 0c on results)
• You must carry up to 40 pounds of ballast to bring your weight up to 200 pounds.
• No more than 12 races will be held on any race day.
• No more than 82 races held each half of the season
• Overall winner is an average of you first half final score and your second half final score
• Scoring Matrix   (number of races to qualify and number of throw outs per races sailed)
• Cox Sprague Scoring Table (table of points based on number of competitors)
